San Marcello Pistoiese

San Marcello fall in tourist centres mountain best known from beginning to now. The country sits on a sunny hill, covered by green forests, which diradandosi down towards the valley of the river Limestre. The village was born perhaps in the Roman era and offers visitors the testimony of past centuries, when, as early as the fourteenth century, with contendeva Cutigliano Captainship the headquarters of the Mount. The Romanesque church built in honour of San Marcello, is amended in the seventeenth and eighteenth century. We find inside the relics of St. Celestina, patron of the country and protector of the mountain, celebrated on 8 September with a big party, launching an annual colorful balloon paper built on the basis of design of Mongolfier brothers.
